As a Material Innovation Studio (with an in-house Textile Scientist),
we use Japanese style enzyme washes and steam treatments on our fabrics to enhance their ‘feelings.’ By this we mean the physical exchange the material has with the body, and its corresponding emotion. We have developed 12 moods in the form of fabric. Each one designed
to soften your experience of lounge, travel, and napping. Ideal for makers who constantly bring home to work, and work to home.
Our brand is run by our band of tailors who have been jamming together for 12 years now. With the designers lurking behind the scenes. Flipping the logic of the fashion industry. We reject assembly line production. Each piece is made from start to finish by one tailor, so that the work is more enjoyable, even if it takes longer. We reject over-production and therefore have a make-as-you-order model.
At our Dyeing Atelier, we dye our colors by hand, inventing shades you may struggle to find in the mass-market. Each style can be picked in a variety of colors, so you can find your own way to color-play across styles. Or create your own one-color-uniform that expresses your idiosyncrasies. Creatures in nature use color as a tool to attract mates, to defend themselves, or to retreat from the outer world.
